Tatort: Bausünden

What's going on in Cologne? A hotel clerk lies dead under her own balcony. Ballauf and Schenk try to figure out her connection to a construction firm bidding for a hotel in Qatar in advance of the 2022 World Cup. What are these engineers hiding?

Max & Freddy get shortchanged with a mediocre mystery. Kinky hotel shower sex leads to an accidental strangling and a cheap way to start the show with a dead naked woman. Her jealous husband (a veteran with PTSD and anger management issues) notices she's missing but no one else working at the same construction firm seems concerned. The police want to find him, especially after he busts out of a moving car to escape questioning. Not even a citywide manhunt will keep him from loitering around the hotel and hunting down coworkers and clients.
But wait! It wasn't a murder! It was a set up to blackmail the hotel company into choosing their firm to build in Qatar for the 2022 World Cup.

The moral of the story is not to book hotel rooms on the sly for secret trysts, even if it's for an important client. You'll end up tossed over a balcony and pretty much ignored while everyone looks for the missing dominatrix.

(I skipped a couple in between because I didn’t get a chance to see them. Also not sure if I can handle posting for Deja vu because that one was deeply disturbing)
