Top Chef: A Little Place Called Aspen
March 4, 2018 1:53 PM - Season 15, Episode 13 - Subscribe

"In the final Quickfire of the season, the Chefs get a crash course in one of Colorado's great pastimes, fly fishing, when they not only have to prepare the catch of the day, but they have to actually catch it too. Chef Chris Cosentino serves as guest judge. Then, the only thing standing between the chefs and the Grand Finale is 200 plates, for the country's most notable chefs and food connoisseurs attending the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen. Serving only a vegetarian dish, they have to win over the likes of: Brooke Williamson, Danny Meyer, Bryan Voltaggio, Michael Voltaggio, Ludo Lefebvre, Scott Conant, Tim Love and guest judge Daniel Boulud and more." I thought the fishing part was silly.

Very glad to get that stupid mustache off my screen.

What of a chef didn't catch a fish? Why give them a fish that can't be used raw when you KNOW one will? It's too late in the game for contests that rely on chance.

I have to believe there was off screen help available if they didn't catch a fish by themselves. The whole scenario seemed very artificial.
