Oliver and Thea are shocked to hear that Roy Harper is back in Star City. Black Siren makes a shocking decision.

Finally got around to watching this episode - I kinda liked it. I don't know if that's because it was an improvement on recent episodes, or it only seemed that way because my standards have plummeted, but it was nice to see Colton again.

You''re right. It was a better episode. Less focus on the newbies always makes for a better episode.

I was never really a fan of Roy's when he was on the show, but I'll admit it was nice to see him back. It seems that's the out they're going to use with Thea.

It also helped that this was a heavy Black Siren episode. As terrible as the actress was with Laurel (or maybe as bad as the writers treated the character) she's much better playing the bad girl.

I was ready to stop wasting my time watching this show after the previous two episodes but with the promise of Roy's return and Thea back in action I gave it one more view and... it was pretty good. People weren't overly dumb or acting out of character (except for Oliver seemingly trusting Black Siren), they didn't go the soap opera fake amnesia route, and setting up Dinah and Quentin as a way to rebuild trust between the teams was a smart move.

I have to say though that after this season and last of both Arrow and The Flash having big bads who anticipate the good guys every move as a storyline has gotten old.

big bads who anticipate every move the good guys will make is a classic comic-book trope though. but i do feel like it's overly saturated at this point, given how many non-comic-book-based shows also do it.

come on, Ollie, stop trusting clearly evil people!
