Super Troopers 2 (2018)

Sixteen years after Broken Lizard's debut feature, the Super Troopers return. They were cashiered after "the Fred Savage incident", but a redrawn border between the U.S. and Canada gives them the chance to get back on the force.

At just 33 percent fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, the sequel is actually only slightly less well-rated than the 35 percent fresh rating of the original.

Did you like the first one? You'll like the second one. It's a little more coherent (as in, it doesn't feel quite like half a dozen hilarious sketches stitched together in post), but also a little less hilarious.

I liked the first one meow, but my favorite Broken Lizard is hands down meow The Slammin Salmon (the most realistic restaurant movie ever made.) Going to see this one meow this weekend.

We just saw this at the drive-in (in Vermont) last night. It's stupid enough that I wouldn't recommend it to most of my friends but we laughed through a lot of it and enjoyed it. The opening bit (and the little trailing bit after the credits) were the most inspired. I liked this movie a lot like I'd enjoy watching my friends when their Improv group was having a good night. Could have used more cameos but I was pleased to see Rob Lowe and Lynda Carter playing along and enjoying it.
