Fear the Walking Dead: Laura

The arrival of a wounded visitor in John Dorie's life forces him to change his ways.
We catch up on the tragic(?) love story of John Dorie and Laura/Naomi, and while I don't think there were any surprises, it may have been one of my favorite episodes of TWD or FTWD. Perhaps not so coincidentally, it didn't feature a single one of the cast members of FTWD from the first three seasons.
It reminded me a lot of the episode of TWD where we caught up with Morgan and his encounter with Eastman.

As the episode progressed, I went from "sheesh, more back-looking explaining to waste time" to more of an appreciation of both characters. So...mission accomplished, I guess.

Loved, loved this. Would watch this show every week. Men talking feelings, John being the best at uncreepy unrequited love, fishing and maintaining bridges and experimenting with new pocorn flavours in the postapoc. I cried when he saved her and I cried again when he offered to go. How much anti-Rick could he be. And Morgon, you weird old hippy, not letting him away with his (feeble) attempt at cynicism.
