The “computers” bit was just so good. Justin really isn’t very good at GMing, but he’s great as a player.

It's weird. When the Amnesty arc resumed in earnest after the one shot, I was tuning in, but out of what felt like obligation, rather than anticipation. It's meant that I only just got around to listening to Eps 9-11 in a row and woah it all feels so much pacier and engaged!

I'm glad that they're getting mechanical rewards for the things they've set up in advance (which is how Monster of the Week is means to go, but it can be so easy to forget about capitalising on the planning phase both as a GM and players).

These are still very enjoyable, and Monster of The Week does provide a good framework for a narrative experience, but I think DnD provided more hooks for silliness. Both because it's a fantasy world so anything can happen but also because everyone is expected to have weird powers or items to play with.

I think the mechanics of how the monsters and the magic work is a little too vague for me. Especially because this monster is literally amorphous. It also seems like there's no real stakes for any of the characters.
