Is this a reference to the String Cheese Incident? But why?

So the therapist telling her clients to set boundaries doesn't set any of her own, and the corporate mediator gives up on mediation.

I did like the change to the intro (though they only changed BoJack), anyone else catch the poster on the wall where his 80s show became "Stripin' Around".

The end made the whole episode! The interleaved stories were a really inventive way to set up the end.

I want to rewatch this and see if the way Diane's script played out was similar to the larger plot, because BoJack doesn't get it either until pretty much the last word, and even then there's the wordless exchange.

The larger episode was also kind of a rope-a-dope, going back and forth between the two stories (which were pointing to the same events). Psychedelic Hand-Todd and Energy Cloud Princess Carolyn and the string cheese was...a McGuffin? I was trying to figure out how this was all going to fit together when they drop the Diane Crisis, which fell upon my confused brain and cleared it the fudge out.

I'm loving this so much more the more I think about it. Matching a character's reaction to the audience's is some master stroke shit. I've loved the last few episodes too, but they were more cathartic. This one is a real thinker to me.

I hadn't thought of that, and today I found this site with possible origins of the SCI name, including one where "the band was waiting for Phish to play….. sheriffs frisked the players looking for weed.. and found string cheese in one of their pockets.. it made headlines in aspen. … and hence the name of the band."

Why? Why not? Why did they riff on Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard?

I just watched this, so I'm a little late to the party, but the date "Wednesday, October 24th" came up a couple times in this episode and today is Wednesday October 24th and I might be wigging out a little.... Did it say "Wednesday, October 24th" when y'all watched it?
