The Blacklist: The Mombasa Cartel (No. 114)

Red shows his soft spot for animals when he tells Liz about the Mombasa Cartel, an international exotic wildlife poaching ring. Ressler encounters trouble when investigating the murders of some of their operatives in Alaska. Appropriately for Halloween, there is a guest appearance by Carel Struycken.

We also discover what Liz was keeping behind that door - Tom!

I think we all knew it had to be Tom. I'm just glad they are no longer holding it out as this huge mystery.

Yeah, Tom not a huge surprise, though at least better than the stupid I was expecting.

Unfortunately the show has just turned into Criminal Minds-style Freakshow Killing Of The Week, but without the over-the-top awesome of Kristen Vangsness. (I heart her forever. Garcia is the best.)

First of all YES Garcia is awesome.

A question, what's gonna happen with Red's daughter? I mean he can't think he's suddenly gonna be like "surprise! It's meeeeeeee the dad who totally abandoned you!" Am I the only one suspicious that she may not be his daughter?

Clue #1 is her totally not recognizing him, even though she'd have had to seen him as a child old enough to form concrete memories.

I always wondered why no one in the show ever suggested a DNA test (they haven't have they?) to rule out some sort of biological relationship between them.

I've been paying less and less attention to this show... I completely missed any secret door mysteries and only knew there was such a mystery because someone brought it up in the last episode thread. Now it's a secret Tom holding door? I'm trying to decide whether I can just keep watching and pretend I know what's going on or just give up on the show. I am not even remotely interested enough to rewatch anything, what with Hulu's two annoying commercials. (I probably missed all the plot because to rewind you usually have to rewatch the dumb commercials.)
