The veteran reality series hosted by Jeff Probst brings 20 new castaways to the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji for its 37th installment. This season's theme is "David vs. Goliath....

Its been so good, week after week. I know everyone loves Christian and I appreciate that he's fun to watch, but he reminds me of an abusive ex of mine so I'm hoping he goes.
I'm cheering for Davey for the win, but I feel it is my responsibility to also cheer for Nick, as AFAIK the only public defender to ever make an appearance on the show. Also pleased to see him on the "David" tribe, especially after their placement of a jerky probation officer on "heroes" (gag me) a few seasons back.
Also Kara has a good social game and seems to be flying under the radar a bit, so she could be in it to win it.

Yes I think there's quite a few of them who are genuinely playing quite well. I feel like producers have really twigged, the best people to go on Survivor are people who love Survivor and know the game inside out.
I like Nick, Davey, Christian, Alison, Kara first and foremost. I find myself torn between kinda liking Angelina and kinda being aghast at how utterly clueless she is socially. Like, she has an MBA and seems reasonably smart, but she makes the worst moves week after week and is always flummoxed at tribal.
They've given Christian a tonne of airtime but I just don't see how he could make it to the end; his threat level is so obvious. For the opposite reason, I think Angelina is possibly a lock to go final three. Other than her, though, there's no obvious "goat" which hopefully should make an interesting final council.

So who do you think will win? Honestly, right now I think everyone bar Angelina has a case, though if I was aiming I'd probably shoot for Angelina and Mike in final 3 with me. Go Davie and Kara!

Thrilled with the season and the finale. Sad that it wasnt Davie, who was better than Nick I think, but I'm glad Nick won and I was rooting for him.
Something about Mike rubbed me the wrong way, so im glad he didnt win. Maybe the edit that showed him basically just whining and insisting his way into choosing the target. But amazing moment of helping Angelina while holding wine, I lol'd
Angelina is hilarious. I climbed 100 feet! I scaled a rock wall! And when Nick chose her - "I'm a closer" I hope she comes back for a future season bc she is such a hot mess and thus a joy to watch

Angelina has a truly monumental lack of self awareness. Like she just kept going. As soon as kara lost the challenge, we felt that nick had won it, and deservedly against the other two.
We were also team Davie though, I think he would have smoked all of the others. His sarcastic responses to Angelina's story of scaling the 500ft cliff were solid gold. I hope they bring him back.
A very good season after a few lacklustre ones.

Every season we see players who seem to lack self-awareness. I always wonder how much of that is the individual's personality and how much is the circumstance of being cast on a TV show. You're surrounded constantly by camera crews with boom mics, and you're also trying to scrutinize your fellow players' interactions in this incredibly complex social game for a million bucks, and you're also trying to find food and build shelter and solve puzzles in a cyclone, all of it for 39 days. That's more multitasking than I could handle. I'm impressed by people who seem self-aware more than I'm disappointed by people who don't.
I thought Angelina came off really well in the final tribal. Maybe she was spurred by the pressure of the moment or maybe she found it easier to focus at the journey's end, but the Angelina who spoke at the end wasn't the same Angelina who showed up for much of the game. I don't think she deserved to win, but her final performance would almost have convinced me to vote for her.
