Marry Me: Annicurser-Me
November 5, 2014 10:37 AM - Season 1, Episode 4 - Subscribe

Annie comes to believe the anniversary of her and Jake's first date is cursed when a tornado warning traps the gang in her building's basement in the latest of a string of bad events on that day. Gil reveals he is a "survivalista" and takes control of the situation, making him surprisingly attractive to Dennah.

I sense Gil is supposed to be like the Adam Pally character from "Happy Endings" but I just find him so unlikable.

I know the show is called Marry Me, but Annie needs a non-wedding/romance-related plotline, stat. And more of Kay, please!

For that matter, Dennah also needs a real plotline. And whatshisname, the main guy played by Ken Marino, seriously, I cannot remember his name.

I have no strong feelings about Gil.

I think I like this show, but I basically am just waiting for it to become Happy Endings. Give 'em all some quirks already! Bring on the ribs!

I really liked this episode. The structure was just so pretty. We have the lovely "curse" setup, a look back to every cursed anniversary, and then again, as the truth behind what went wrong each time comes out. I also liked that both Jake and Kay dated the same women years earlier.

I'm a bit concerned that while Kay and Dennah are both single, Dennah seems to always have a different guy, while Kay never seems to date at all (in the present). She should be shown romanticly, don't leave her out.

Just leave out the Dave Rose character. No one really liked that guy, right? He and Ted Mosby (How I Met Your Mother) fall into the same "stereotypically likable type lead guy who I actually really don't like" character.
