Robyn is a flack: a PR, who promotes, publicises and protects her clients. It's her job to fix other people's lives, despite the fact she is incapable of fixing her own.

Thanks for posting this. I watched the first episode, and I'll probably try the second. I'm disappointed by some of the character's decisions, but I'll give it another go to see if I can get beyond my dislike of some of her self-destructive tendencies.

The character was written very much in the anti-hero vein (no spoilers).

I just watched up to the fifth episode of the first season and I have to say I have enjoyed it a lot so far. Anna Paquin kills it, as does the actress who plays her sister, but honestly the whole cast is pretty darn good. Sophie Okonedo is TERRIFYING.

I like how as the show progresses, Robyn begins to question the amorality of her role, and the way she lives her personal life, more and more.

The fifth episode with Bradley Whitford on the airplane was amazing. It was so tense and horrifying. Anna Paquin just really nailed that perfectly, the micro expressions on her face as she tries to process it all, tries to manage it, and wrestles with her conscience. The old high school friend was perfect, too. I can’t wait to see the final episode.
