I really liked this last episode. Fanning's time with Amy didn't disappoint. So much of what Fanning says is true, but his manipulation just doesn't work

I knew Martinez had to be one of the virals, but I couldn't figure out how he would turn. I had no clue that he was in Guilder's head. That was clever.

OMG OMG OMG

When Fanning was all telling Amy to go into the Gom Jabbar tunnel I stood up in my living room and yelled, You can't tell me what to do, you big dummy!

I did have to turn away when Grey went full Gerald's Game Renfield right as Sykes and Lila were rushing to give Amy the saving throw, errr shot. Just wow.

Lots of jumping up and physical exclamation points happened in my living room this evening. Because this is like an infinitely better Strain series, and maybe I should read the books now? But I'm also trying to hurry and finish the Expanse book series, since that's coming back next month...

I'm looking forward to Lacey showing up and delivering some whoopass on the 2-part season finale next week. I kind of want to see Guilder get et. However, I think it's more likely he'll become the 12th vamp that Fanning needs for ~wHaTeVeR~ (kind of like Christ's 12 disciples?).

That would then give Amy her shot at being some kind of vamp-hybrid savior figure instead. If this prediction comes true, I expect S2 to be her assembling 12 human disciples for the human vs. vamp all-out war.

I don't see Grey becoming the 12th man, though he'd be hella less annoying than Guilder. Guess we'll find out next week!

Same.

Yeah, this was back on track again. I am enjoying Fanning's games with everybody, and appreciate that his schtick requires a person to give in on some level. Also, Amy continues to impress me - the whole 'this kid is so special' routine works so much better when the kid is, indeed, pretty special.
