I didn’t realize that when Tyrone swooshed people into the cloak they didn’t cease to exist - though I see now that if he’s teleporting people somewhere with him, they would all be temporarily existing in the Darkforce together. Does that mean Connor is stuck in there somewhere, or was he dying already before Tyrone cloaked him?

I don't think they've dealt with it in the show yet (all we know is Connor disappeared) but based on my understanding of the comics, if they stick with how it works there, then yeah, Connor is probably still in there somewhere.
