What a strong episode to end on, not a weak segment in the batch. So glad they got picked up for S2, I would have hated to be forever cliff-hangered on who's the mystery Event survivor out there.

A quarter to get in the bathroom and a quarter to get out.

Didn't care for the Tanisha sketch though it was great to see Marsai Martin. I think it's hard to make child abuse laughable.

You got human hair money?

OMG, hand sanitizer near mucus membranes. Casper, no!

Black Lady Courtroom needs to be real thing. Just for the variety of hairstyles alone.

Ohhh man that doorbell at the end gave me a FRIGHT. (Less so upon rewatch! But still! Who's out there???)

- I laughed so much at the restaurant sketch. "Cost a quarter to get in... quarter to get out." The friendly BYO Silverware sign that they only saw after their orders already came out one hour later.

- The child vs parent sketch fell flat for me as well - hard to laugh at even the implication of an adult hitting a kid - though I did laugh at Thede's reality show host running away wondering if she was too grown to get a whuppin'.

- Totally snorted once the Casper logo appeared. My god.

- The black lady courtroom sketch made me SO HAPPY. I've rewatched it at least 3 times now - it's just jam-packed with delightful details. The courtroom drama bass-heavy musical stings, Yvette Nicole Brown as the judge, the obliviousness of Issa Rae's plaintiff trying to figure out what's the big deal in contrast with everyone else immediately understanding what a big deal it was (and taking a commemorative selfie to boot), and the other bailiff who wandered in to see if they had any Carmex.

The one thing I kept wondering though - where was Ashley? It felt a little weird to have such a celebratory ensemble sketch without all of the 4 main ladies present.

- The final outtake had me chortling. Her insecurity's dead, now she'll be more confident!

Can't wait for season 2!

> The courtroom drama bass-heavy musical stings

That's "The Big One" by Alan Tew which is used as the theme to "The People's Court".
