RuPaul's Drag Race UK: Thirsty Werk
November 18, 2019 2:51 PM - Season 1, Episode 6 - Subscribe

This week the queens’ creative marketing skills are put to the test as they are asked to create an advert - and brand themselves. US Drag Race All Star Katya makes a surprise visit while pop icon Cheryl joins Michelle Visage and Graham Norton on the judging panel as another queen exits the competition.

Divina is upset with The Vivienne for not acknowledging her as a true drag queen. Ru brings along six Brit crew for the mini challenge. The queens have to guess what's in the pants; Boxers, Briefs or Commando. Divina won the mini challenge. For the maxi challenge, Ru asked them to create an advert and brand themselves by selling bottled water.

Instead of a video call (as promised), Divina receives a surprise visit from Katya of RuPaul's Drag Race season 7 and runner up of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars 2. The queens discussed the club night scene in the UK and how to manage anxiety and turbulent emotions mid-competition.

On the main stage, the runway theme is "Rainy Day Eleganza". After the runway, The Vivienne won the maxi challenge and Divina was declared safe. Ultimately, Baga is declared safe, leaving Blu and Cheryl Hole in the bottom two. After they lipsync to "Call My Name (Wideboys Remix)" by Cheryl, Cheryl Hole was declared the winner, and Blu, having landed in the bottom two for the second time, was eliminated from the competition.

- I died at Cheryl's initial outfit selection before realizing they were going to shoot their commercials in front of a green screen

- The zoomed-in pointing polished nail had me absolutely rolling

- Viv's runway look, oh my god. Or, oh my goth? So good and completely out of left field.

- Cheryl (Cole)'s personality was so chill and understated, which normally would strike me as a little too low-energy for a guest judge, but I loved her input anyway - so thoughtful! And her conversations with Cheryl (Hole) were so sweet.

- Maybe I'm too inured to hit-or-miss Drag Race advert challenges, but I found something enjoyable from everyone's and had a hard time predicting which queens would be in the bottom, until the judge's critiques.

- Ugh what a BOP for this ep's lipsync!

- Cheryl H didn't just death drop, she bodyslammed the fuck out of her life. What a fun performance.

Same. They were all so good! Cheryl's nail was also making me laugh my ass off. So good.
