I just watched this first episode, and, holy fuck was the fire sequence terrifying. I don't know how quickly I'm going to get through the remaining 7 episodes, as I expect those are going to be more standard period drama soap opera events, but this first episode was something else. The choke point of the revolving doors, the panic of the crowd, the violence, the trampling - devastatingly well done.
