Legends of Tomorrow: Mortal Khanbat
February 25, 2020 7:15 PM - Season 5, Episode 5 - Subscribe
With Sara away from the Waverider, the Legends find a new Encore with Ava's new invention, the Prognosticator, and must now to defeat Genghis Khan in 1990s Hong Kong; Constantine's life is hanging in the balance.
Yeah, I’m not following the intricacies of Constantine and Charlie’s plots, but this was a really delightful and silly ep, in perfect Legends fashion!

Caity Lotz really pulled out some great action shots for her directorial debut. I liked it!
I recently got into using scooters to get around town and the whole thing with the scooters was just so hilarious. Though I think it'd be frowned upon if I install machine guns on top of scooters here.
I, like Ava, wanted some explanation of why Genghis Khan is Hong Kong and not where he was buried (in Mongolia, presumably where he was born), but by the end I was just enjoying the (scooter) ride.

Genghis explained that he spent 700 years digging himself out of his impenetrable tomb.

Did they forget that Encores can't be killed? Why did Genghis disappear in a puff of green smoke when he got stabbed by his sword the same as the regular humans did? I was expecting him to end up in containment on the Waverider like Marie Antoinette or Rasputin.

It was a hell weapon, like Bugsy's gun, that destroys victims' souls. I think the team had Plans for the gun until Constantine used up the bullets, so we'll probably see more of the sword.

Fun episode otherwise though - that dove flying into frame at Genghis Khan's entrance was great.
