That Saul dressing down of Carrie was quite the something.

I recently was reprimanded by a couple of senior management for my being an asshole, but it took someone I respected to tell me that my actions were unacceptable - albeit gently - for me to get the seriousness of the situation I had created.

I wonder how straightforward Carrie's motivations are these days?

The writing and plotting on this show are so tight. Every bit of it make sense, is tense, is exciting. I really am enjoying watching a story like this so well told.

That being said, this device of Carrie being able to sneak out through the kitchen is absurd. How's she getting through the security cordon? They don't show it, because there's no way to make it make sense, but they need her getting out to make the plot work. It's pretty stupid. I'm willing to give them this one thing, but srsly?

Loved Haqqani being strategic and figuring he should turn himself over to the Americans. Loved Vice President Weasel being weasely and being convinced by G'ulom in 10 seconds of phone call. More than just echoes of Trump and Erdoğan, the sheer stupidity and cravenness of it.

Also loved Carrie getting in the car on the airport with Evgeny to make her getaway. She's all in now. Lucky for Max, I have this feeling it's going to work out.
