Rotten Tomatoes: 45% Tomatometer (94 critic reviews); 48% Audience Score (9,566 user ratings)

Just in time for Halloween, a film emerges that fails to make up in squashed breasts and ripped penises what it lacks in wit or originality (Jordan Hoffman for The Guardian, 2/5 stars)

... and that's one of the less scathing reviews.

But my wife and I really liked it. Juvenile? Yes, and there was definitely has some gratuitous T&A which made me and my wife shake our heads and say "boys...". But we thought it was goofy fun, and well-acted by young guys who actually looked like teenagers (some of them still were), plus Denise Russo (Sarah Dumont) wasn't a damsel in distress, but kicked proper ass on her own. Some good zombie prosthetics and makeup, and less gore than most modern zombie movies, and I'd give it 4/5 stars, for a zombie movie. A more logical, complete story than The Dead Don't Die (FanFare link).
