The Flash: Pay the Piper
May 5, 2020 7:22 PM - Season 6, Episode 18 - Subscribe
When Godspeed returns, Barry turns to Hartley Rathaway for help. However, things get tense quickly after Barry realizes one of the changes from Crisis is that The Flash and Pied Piper are now enemies. Meanwhile, Iris tries to escape the Mirrorverse.
I am so confused about Godspeed. I only remember him from the future stuff with Nora, which supposedly didn't happen anymore since she ceased to exist?
I grew up before you had a pull list, and only the most hardcore had subscriptions, so I'd pick up stories in the middle as various issues were available to read. So I'm comfortable with the idea of "I have no idea who this is, and I hope Captain Exposition shows up to clue me in soon..."

I’m starting to think it’s a running gag as to how many times Piper’s friend/nemesis status has flipped due to time travel or other happenings. Every time Barry sees him, their history has changed.

I hope they can keep Hartley around as the Flash's frenemy, like Captain Cold in the early seasons.
Otherwise, wow, this was such a weird, unsuccessful episode. Totally morose, yet six different pep talks. At least Joe and Barry acknowledged that Iris wasn't acting like herself, but they should have shown them having that concern in earlier episodes rather than have the characters blurt it out after the fact.

Although I suspect that Godspeed is there to facilitate Barry building his own speedforce, since he supposedly became a speedster in the future just through synthetic means and not a natural power.
I like that we're getting more explorations of the mirrorverse.
I know Barry and the show likes his speeches, but this one felt more obligatory than inspiring, much like most of this episode.
