I still want to love this show but I really need the show to love me back, and I don't feel like they're really doing that this season. And that was the worst cliffhanger.

The only redeeming feature was Frost's mom - that interaction was SO MUCH better than I expected.

I don't know if the ending was an intentional cliffhanger or a COVID-19-inflicted one, but it's what we've got.

I too wasn't expecting too much from Caitlin's mom and Frost, and this was definitely better than expected.

I'll give the team points for trying so hard to dress up the big fight with fancy edits and multiple screen shots. I'm happy whenever this show tries something new (as opposed to retreading old plots and tropes).

With Frost out of the picture (due to the actress' pregnancy) and Cisco having depowered himself, the team really is down a lot of ability and capability. Allegra just isn't enough and really hasn't done much to endear herself to the audience.

I have no idea why Flash was trying to reason with mirror-Singh and treat him as if he were the actual Singh. Barry knows he's not, and the odds of the duplicate coming around like mirror-Iris (kind of) did was pretty much slim to none.

Speaking of Barry, I'm so over this "losing my speed" nonsense. The way it was initially presented, it sounded as if the condition were imminent, and that any draw down upon his Speed Force reserves would result in a permanent deletion. Instead, his levels seem to go up and down whenever it's convenient for the plot. And the whole bit about stress causing a drop is ridiculous. I really think this show needs to wrap up as it has run out of speed-related plots. They can give Ralph a spin-off if they need another show to fill the slot. (Speaking of new shows, is anybody planning on watching Stargirl?)

It's an unintentional cliffhanger -- like a bunch of the other CW shows, they had two episodes left to shoot when the shutdown hit. But, considering how slapdash previous seasons' planned finales have been, I figure this would have gone much the same.

Oh, but of course. It's either going to start out sucky and improve (like Legends), or have a wonderful first season and go downhill from there (like the rest of the DC CW shows), but either way it's getting Fanfare threads.

I liked this as an unintentional cliffhanger and loved Eva's costume. I really enjoyed that they leaned into the old trope of hiding an actor's pregnancy with strategically placed pillows.

From what I read they filmed most of episode 20 but hadn't yet started filming the final two episodes.

At the CW's virtual up-front this week the network announced tentative plans to start their next season of shows in January, run them through July/August, then starting the fall 2021 season in October.

I'll be watching Stargirl. I mean, what else have I got to do? The AV Club reviewer liked the first few episodes (link to non-spoilery review).

You don't know how hard that made me laugh or how badly I needed a laugh right now. (We're doing test-trials of video conferencing platforms at work. You can just image how smoothly the process is going.)

I just wasn't sure if people were still even watching these shows. Discussion has certainly fallen off in FanFare. Personally, I know I'm a bit behind (haven't caught up on this week's Supergirl episode yet). I swear I've got less time and am watching less TV during quarantine than I was before. I have no idea how or why that's happening.

I'd probably be behind on these shows too if I didn't feel a certain amount of responsibility over getting the threads up post-broadcast. I'm behind on the shows I don't post for regularly (Siren, Vagrant Queen, For Life, etc), for sure. But I think people are watching/will be watching at their own pace, so even if a thread gets little-to-no comments now, there might be a blip of activity after next week when the season gets added to Netflix.

Joel McHale as Starman, even only as a recurring character? I AM IN.

Ok, I just submitted 'Stargirl' to the suggest-a-show queue now. I'll go ahead and start the thread once the show gets added; I think the pilot has been available to stream early on CW seed or DC Universe already, so, people may want to get the discussion started ahead of Monday's broadcast premiere.

oh I'm totally watching Stargirl, I gotta see how this new Earth-2 is going to be.

I was fine with this forced finale. We've had worse season cliffhangers in this show (remember when Barry ran into the speed storm to save the world and then THE END?).

I'm also tired of the losing speed plot, but mostly because I know they're just building up to his artificial speed force which should happen already. This show has a tendency to drag out the wrong thing.

Eva is an interesting villain though, I'm not entirely against her. I mean, sure, murder is bad, but Carver is legit evil, like the kind of villain that you secretly hope someone should get their hands dirty and free the world from him. If you brought him to trial in real life every prosecutor would seek the death penalty if their state allowed it. Anyways, I'm not that mad about Eva, except she trapped our girl Iris, and Kamilla and Singh. I'm sure they'll make her super evil next season, though, since she already had her mirror duplicates kill some people. She doesn't seem to have a redeemable character trait like Hartley, unless the team figures out how to cure her of the effects of mirrorverse.

Urgh. What an idiot. Even if you believe that crap how stupid are you if you feel the need to post this stuff in public? It's not like the old days of the Internet when people didn't realize their online histories were going to follow them around (and even then some of us were very aware that we were creating permanent records of our words and actions). He only has himself to blame, and it's a shame because it was really good casting as Ralph.

The first article I read today about the firing (Comicbook.com - The Flash Star Hartley Sawyer Fired Over Offensive Tweets) only quoted a couple of the tweets, and left me wondering if there was some more on-set bad behavior too, but your link and the TV Line article are more explicit.

I'm a little surprised that CW/Berlanti-co didn't have some PR person out there vetting/scrubbing his social media history a while ago, since I'm sure they're contractually obligated to promote the shows once they're made regulars. But Sawyer was hired back when Kreisberg was still on staff, so, maybe he squeaked through as a kindred spirit and he's more like early douchebag Dibney than new-improved Dibney? Ugh indeed.

Jeez, what an idiot.

The show was headed for a significant Ralph and Sue storyline next season so it will be interesting to see how they proceed.

Just read another article that included quotes from different tweets. They're even more heinous that then ones in the piece above. As much as I liked Ralph, good riddance to this ass.
