Laughably bad disaster/action films

I have a terrible weakness for films like Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus and Atomic Train, that exist in a poe's-law-like superposition of "worst genre film ever made" and "best genre parody ever made". Is anyone interested in watching a film or two along these lines?

A live chat while watching them could be a lot of fun (is that a Thing here?), but threads about them could be great too. I can't imagine that there's a lot of depth to be found in them, but for watching through a gap in your fingers while crying with laughter, they simply can't be beaten.

May I suggest Eliminators? Looks like the whole thing is on youtube.

(also, this is a great idea, I am 1000% in)

I'm down for sure. Might I recommend Alone In the Dark? It is remarkable and hilarious in how awful it is.

Skyscraper, a Die Hard rip-off with Anna Nicole Smith in the Bruce Willis role.

Skyline. Pretty terrible, but I caught it on TV once and couldn't stop watching it.

Also, while I've never actually seen it, I remember the premise of The Core being so outrageously ridiculous that after only seeing the trailer, my friends and I made fun of it for weeks.

The Core is surprisingly self aware and fun.

I love a bad disaster film, and, frankly, they are all bad, but especially when they work like an episode of the Love Boat, where there are 30 subplots, and then the ship crashes. The best of the bad:

The Towering Inferno
Earthquake
The Swarm
Airport
Waterworld
Volcano
Birdemic
Outbreak
Armageddon
Lifeforce (I assume an apocalypse of naked space vampires counts)
The Birds
Night of the Lepus
The Happening

Great, sounds like we have enough interest to give this a try! I'm not sure what the usual etiquette here is -- shall we pick a film and try to get the (first?) thread up before Christmas? The 21st, say?

Personally I think I'd vote for everybody had matching towels' suggestion of The Eliminators to start with, but what about you folks?

I'm in an inconvenient timezone (GMT), so joining you for a live chat might be akward, but does anyone want to try arranging that?

I haven't seen The Core, but watching it was an initiation rite for one of the geology (and engineering, IIRC) courses at my undergrad uni. It sounds great.

THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW
Oh wow, I'd forgotten about this film. I remember being in tears of laughter in the cinema when, after a particularly insane sequence of mini-disasters, the wolves turn up. Because of course the wolves would turn up then, and were not overkill in any way. Good times.

Sharknado is my favourite awful/parody/disaster/action film.

Did anyone watch Christmas Icetastrophe on Syfy recently? If not, some kind soul uploaded it to YouTube.
