Animaniacs: Warners Unbound, How To Brain Your Dragon, Suffragette City
November 21, 2020 9:36 AM - Season 1, Episode 2 - Subscribe

In Warners Unbound, the WBs+S are Greek gods who are annoyed by Odysseus. Featuring an awfully familiar-looking orange cyclops. In How To Brain Your Dragon, P&B are in medieval times, and try to convince a thespian dragon to help them take over the kingdom. In Suffragette City, Dot celebrates the work of those who worked to give women the right to vote, and campaigns to get cartoon characters the right too. Features a lot of Warner Bros. and Hanna Barbera cartoon cameos!

Argh, I clicked submit way too early! I forgot to add the title of the P&B short, "How To Brain Your Dragon," to the post. And I complete forgot to add Suffragette City, the second Warners cartoon, to the title and description! Mods please hope me? (A description for the second Warners cartoon would be, "Dot celebrates the work of those who worked to give women the right to vote, and campaigns to get cartoon characters the right too. Features a lot of Warner Bros. and Hanna Barbera cartoon cameos!")

Mod note: Edited the title and added those sentences to the description. If that's not what you want, let me know what to put.

Good for me! I wish I had written that description a bit better ("the work of those who worked", why did I write that?), but I try not to stress out too much, I just wanted to post something to get a conversation rolling. Thanks very much!

As for the episode:

I liked Warners Unbound! Most WB+S cartoons put some famous figure up so they can react to them and generally annoy them, but here the tables are turned. And by Odysseus, who is a great idea for someone to put in that role. And their comic depiction of THAT GUY was one of the funniest I've seen. I look forward to him being made the butt of jokes by a thousand different voices over the coming decades.

Pinky and the Brain's showing is one of those stories that take the pair out of Acme Labs into some alternate setting, which I usually thought were lesser stories in the original, but I think it worked well this time.

I am over the moon this was rebooted, I was a huge fan of the original, and loving the episodes so far!

There was an astounding amount of cyclops nipple going on during one scene. Like, a truly amazing amount. Surprised it made it into the series, really.
