Not terrible.

Bjorn's storyline at the end got me a couple of feels. They stylism/ artsy-stuff framing the action between a telling of Bjorn's Saga mostly works (without borrowing too much from Japanese cinematography, as the show has been guilty of).

I actually wouldn't have minded some singing, tbh.

They got away with omitting the battle!

This was a great second ending for Bjorn. His wound was so quick in E10 that we weren’t really sure if they’d just let him go out like that.

Curious now what happens to Oleg.

I'm ok with them "skipping" the battle; expensive and they were barely better than GoT at them, at this point in production. The disappointment is that the viewer doesn't get as good of an idea of how many of the Rus were killed/ captured vs how many managed to run away.

The makeup effects weren't bad. They showed the wound being yellow/ green (gangrenous, systemic septic shock) but could have made him more feverish.

Pre-antibiotics, absolutely non-survivable so this was about the best he could expect.
