There hasn't been a lot of Frannie so far in this series but this episode gave us lots of good Frannie. She's the smartest person in the room.

This almost makes up for having her attempt suicide in the first episode. Almost.

So I haven't read the book, but it was one of my dad's favorites. I'm not sure if i like the hopping back and forth between the timelines

I was so wrong about Tom Cullen. Cullen is a delightful character, played well.

Totally missed it; has it been revealed who fathered Fran's child?

Someone who died of Captain Trips? I believe in the previous episode, when she is getting her ultrasound, she pulls out a photo of her and a guy we have not seen before and says something like, “Hey, Jesse, I want you to meet our kid.” We do not see a closeup insert shot.

Stephen King cameo appearance: he's in the ad for Hemingford Home.

I thought for sure he would be in the audience in the town meeting; maybe this was COVID-time enough that he didn't want to do an in-person cameo?

I liked the Hemingford Home twist. It also seeds in some self-doubt for Mother Abigail before Boulder: she's starting to lose faith here that anyone will come to find her.
