Señora Linares works with Laszlo to put her finger on exactly what troubled her during her visit to the park on the day of her daughter's abduction, and Bitsy Sussman, whom Sara has assigned to work undercover at the Lying-In Hospital, tries to find out what is going on there. William Randolph Hearst hosts a lavish ball celebrating his goddaughter Violet's engagement to John.

I could tell Libby was somewhat unstable during her lunch with Sara, but I was not quite expecting THAT. I was so relieved that Bitsy survived.

That engagement party was a shitshow in a not credible way. Violet and John have sex in a private room during it, and it's not a total scandal? Randolph Hearst is that offensive to his goddaughter's fiancé? Osgood's latest discarded girlfriend crashes the party in a state? Sara spends so much time tête-à-tête with John *at his engagement party* without anyone interrupting, and tells him he shouldn't marry his fiancée? Laszlo meets a very attractive female psychologist... who would have been invited to the engagement party... why? Really?

Sara's right that John should not marry Violet, but I don't know how she expected him to take that advice from her given that she refused to marry him herself.
