I strongly consider watching the season 1 finale for a refresher before watching this one.

I'm trying to decide if they sort of lost their stride in between seasons or if I'm misremembering just how much they leaned into the WTF / supernatural in the last season, because the first episode felt kind of pedestrian again. Yes, yes, they can swear now, so you can tell it's on streaming.

Have not finished 1st season, I think it may have been stronger if it was more (is it a real) Exorcism of the Week than the fuzzy conspiracy theories.

Where'd you bail? They definitely moved away from the fuzzy conspiracy theory stuff in the first few episodes, by the end of the season there's a proper antagonist. That said, the exorcism of the week kinda peters out and it turns into more supernatural goings on. On one hand: It's maybe Dan Brown-ish, Angels & Demons-ish?
