American Horror Story: Pale

Harry learns the price of inspiration (spoiler: it's pretty obvious to anyone who watched the previous episode, or indeed any previous episode).

Random Notes:

*Wanda Jackson's "Funnel of Love" is a nice shout-out to Jim Jarmusch's amazing vampire film, Only Lovers Left Alive.

*Harry's writing heroes are Tarantino and Sorkin? I'm just gonna ask: are we sure whatever this man has to say is worth a human life? Because that's pretty basic, dude.

*Evan Peters and Macaulay Culkin are both having a lot of fun.

*Jeez, Billie Lourd. I hope there's a lot more Billie Lourd. Thank you.

*I didn't see Vampire Alma coming, but I feel like I really should have.

*Emerging themes: what an artist owes society; the way society prioritizes entertainment over human lives; the way a successful artist is society's end all be all, but a failed one is just a derelict.

*"We're here about the mountain bike and the locked iPad?"

So... this is an allegory for opioid misuse/ addiction? And the town is Hotel California. And Harry is the posterchild for non-informed use.

I'm interested to see how the little kid turns out.

Given what we have seen and learned so far I suspect mom is next up to take the pills but given her bland design choices I bet she will be one of those who lack "talent" and things will go poorly for her...but maybe vampire baby?

Nice conjecture! Does the human blood passing through the placenta suffice to keep the fetus from jonesing, or is the baby killing for a hit of the good stuff?
