Just as Eve and Maze's wedding day arrives, Eve's ex, Adam--yes, that Adam-shows up hoping to reconcile. Later, Ella delivers some distressing news.

*On the rooftop, Lucifer talks to Rory about her RSVP'ing no to Maze & Eve's wedding. She uses having nothing to wear as an excuse, and Lucifer invites her to join him at his tailor's for a fitting but she declines, and flies off.

*At the apartment, Chloe talks with Amenadiel about all the police corruption that she (somehow) was not aware of before, and says she wants to rejoin the force and help him and Officer Harris fix things from the inside.

*At Lux, Eve goes through her pre-wedding check-list, and tries to convince Maze that she should invite her demon siblings, when they are surprised by the arrival of Adam, who tells Eve it's time for her to come home. Eve tells him that's not happening, and she and Maze kiss while flipping him the bird.

*At the apartment, Chloe sees Rory's wings for the first time when she uses them to stab a fly.

*Dr. Linda counsels Adam, until she realizes that he's Eve's Adam, and that he's there to stop her from officiating the wedding. Later, Eve and Maze break in, as Eve is concerned that Linda isn't answering her phone, and they recognize the smell of Adam's aftershave and realize he's kidnapped her.

*At the station, Chloe asks Amenadiel if he's ever seen weaponized wings like Rory's, and worries that she has self-actualized the feather blades because she felt unprotected by Chloe as a child, and that taking on police corruption will put her daughters in danger.

*Rather than tracking down Adam, Eve has lured him to Lux under pretense of reconciliation, but punches him out instead. He comes to strapped to a chair, with Maze giving her best Lilith impersonation to torture Adam, but mostly is torturing Eve. Eve realizes that Maze is the one who alerted Adam to their wedding, that she is self-destructing their relationship again out of fears of not being good enough for her, and Eve breaks the engagement, tired of being the only one who believes in them.

*At the penthouse, Lucifer arrives at Maze's call, finding her ready to kill a ball-gagged-Adam with her demon blade. He convinces her that she's changed more than she knows, and mojo's Adam, whose true desire is that he wants to be a better man. He agrees to release Dr. Linda now (instead of after she finishes therapizing him into being a better man as he originally planned).

*Lucifer goes to Eve's, where she is drinking and junk-fooding away her sorrows, and brings her to the balcony to show her his wedding gift -- a crowd of fresh corpses currently inhabited by Maze's demon siblings, which count as her something old, new, borrowed, and blue (on the insides). Maze gives an impassioned speech begging for another chance, and Eve agrees that the wedding is back on.

*Meanwhile, at the tailor's, Rory is enraged/disappointed at having been stood up by Lucifer yet again.

*At the wedding venue, Amenadiel saves an empty seat for Dan, and Ella watches their seemingly one-sided conversation. Linda walks Maze down the aisle. Adam approaches Eve, gives his best wishes and offers to give her away, but she declines as she prefers to walk the aisle alone. Eve and Maze exchange vows, and Linda declares them married.

*At the reception, Trixie meets Rory, and Rory is angry to hear that Trixie has game nights with Lucifer. Rory accuses Lucifer of always choosing someone else over her, and tells him and Chloe that the traumatic future event she time-traveled away from was being at Chloe's deathbed.

*Ella has been drinking her head off throughout the wedding, and accidentally spit-takes all over Carol. While he's away getting cleaned up, Ella takes the mike and drunk-rants that she knows everything - that Lucifer is the real devil, Amenadiel is an angel, Maze a demon, Eve is Eve, and that the world is ending, and she's hurt that they nobody told her the truth. Amenadiel is all 'the world is ending?' and Carol returns asking what he missed.

Chloe being all 'I had no idea the LAPD was so corrupt' was unintentionally hilarious (I mean, I know the Luciverse is not the real universe that we're all living in, but, even so, how oblivious is she supposed to be?).

Loved the wedding ceremony, very glad for the existence of season 6 for giving Maze this arc. Loved Rory's suit at the tailor's. Happy that Ella is finally going to join in on the celestial shenanigans plots (can't wait for her to see some angel wings!).

Den of Geek recap: The wedding of Mazikeen and Eve gives Ella the opportunity to speak her mind as Lucifer introduces yet another celestial. - "Toxic masculinity, police misconduct, same sex wedding. As Adam says, “wokeness is hard,” but it’s also fair to say that Lucifer risks going a bit overboard as a social justice warrior in its final days. But any perceived heavy handedness floats away when Eve walks down the aisle toward her beautiful, black gowned partner Mazikeen, and “My Best Fiend’s Wedding” reminds us what makes this series so special. It’s the power of love amidst the vagaries of the human condition, and if the celestials become affected as well, then all the better. Oh, and the bombshells just keep on dropping."

That flipping the bird shot was one of my top three favorite Lucifer moments.
