The opening and ending sequences for this episode were both amazing. The Pusha T mini music video opener is great, and Pusha's usual topic of selling coke in Virginia has unsurprising resonance with the Shimmer trade in the Undercity plotline.

The final scene that kicks off with Denzel Curry's track is just one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time, taking inspiration from the final battle in Zatoichi, the first fight in Hero, the Kakashi v Obito fight in Naruto and just blending them all together into another great stylized music video to conclude the episode. Even after finishing the series, this is the scene that's stuck with me the most.

Ekko's face paint is... not the best look, and how doesn't he sweat it off under that mask? More positively, I liked the shots of the bat-person-dad (or whatever he is) playing with the child. It was a nice bit of character.

I was also completely befuddled how the gemstone ended up where it did.

Here's some discussion (youtube) on the nonverbal storytelling in the Ekko fight that unpacks how good it is.
