There was a book a while back, called "leadership secrets of Atilla the Hun." Listening To this episode, I wondered about the lessons we could draw from Chingiz Khan.
Seek out and promote talent. Play to your strengths, but develop your weaknesses. Reward success handsomely and visibly, and failure swiftly and also visibly.

I didn't realize just how many of these steppe nomad groups there were. Huns, Mongols, Tatars, Turkmen, Manchus ...
