So cringe. The theme is played again next episode to interesting effect.

This show does small moments of sweetness and humanity foregrounded against big, tragic circumstances really, really well and Willie Jack enthusiastically potato dancing with White Steve might just be my favorite example of that.

This is a great episode, especially the satirical comedic turn from Amber Midthunder (Naru from Prey).

Her whole "My body is from the Bay Area, but my spirit is with my ancestors" thing is freaking amazing.

I'm so happy they got back to the kids being traumatized while together, it's my favorite part of the show.

(Also I do not have a maternal bone in my body, but I love Cheese so much I feel like he's my child. So happy to get some good Cheese moments in this episode.)

This show does such an incredible job of making Jackie so sympathetic while also being so unlikeable.
