I know that I've been watching this show from the beginning, and it's pretty good, one of the best as far as tv sci-fi these days. And I loved that resolution with the future terror group last (or is it this?) episode, that was just utterly amazing.

But I have no idea what is going on any more. Something something timelines? I keep expecting that bearded guy to be revealed to be Kira's son or something.

That's sort of the thing with time-travel stories, isn't it? Especially when you use alternate timelines as a central plot point. At some point, the whole "infinite timelines" thing has to take-over and no one really knows what's "real" anymore. On one level, I love the hell out of that sort of story. On the other hand, there's confusion.

Does anyone have any knowledge as to whether Continuum is coming back for another season?

I had to go back after the end of this season and rewatch, but it's the end of this episode that is the payoff for watching this show. It's this resolution that they've built up to since the very first episode. The tone is nailed perfectly as the credits roll.

The next two episodes are great, too, and set up next season. (And this show must have a fourth season!) But even going into this third season you'd never guess that last scene here would happen.

I don't want to spoil it, but you know how in all of fiction, all those shows, you scream and scream at the screen that the characters never just stop and really talk? Great writing, this episode should at least get a Hugo nomination.
