Can someone who's watched this tell me how scary/unsettling it was? I'm interested in watching it but have a low tolerance for scary things

Not scary at all -- it's vaguely a ghost story but there are no scares. There is a lost dog for a bit but it's not a big deal. (The dog is one of Swinton's own dogs and that's all adorable.)

It's beautiful. It's intense, depending on what your relationship with your parents is/are.

It's absolutely amazing. If you think this is the kind of movie you'd like, you will! I'm a fan of the director so I was going into this assuming I'd love it, but I loved it way more than I expected. It's a lot but it's gorgeous and amazing. It's just lovely and mysterious and I want to watch it again.

Sounds entirely unrelated to the video game.

I loved this atmospheric picture. Swinton is quietly—doubly—magnificent as the daughter and her mother.
