Misfits: Episode Three
March 6, 2023 6:54 AM - Season 1, Episode 3 - Subscribe

Alisha finds her power always works, but that just makes connecting with the person she really wants that much more difficult. Simon's online flirtation with shygirl18 seems to be a catfish from someone close by with nefarious intent.

Starring Iwan Rheon, Robert Sheehan, Lauren Socha, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, and Antonia Thomas.

Created by Howard Overman.

Currently streaming in the US on Hulu, The Roku Channel, Pluto, and freevee. JustWatch listing.

This is the first episode that really does a deep dive into how the powers aren't always what they're cracked up to be, with Alisha as the focus. I find the episodes that focus mostly on a single character to be some of the better ones.

I have to be careful about spoilers because I shotgunned the first season, but I did want to say that your comment in the previous episode about "the way the show doles out powers is brilliant and perfect tailored to each character" becomes more and more true. And I'm becoming more impressed by Iwan Rheon with every episode; he was plenty compelling in Game of Thrones as The Worst Man in Westeros (And Isn't That Saying Something), but here he can be spellbinding and scary just by looking at people.

I'd like to see Iwan Rheon and Burn Gorman do a creep-off.

Alisha seems to be stuck with a really shit Power. I mean, invisibility can be useful but fending off sex mad guys is a PITA.
