April 3, 2023 1:20 AM - Season 10, Episode 6 - Subscribe

This week.... France experiences unrest after Macron submits a plan to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64. And Now: The Last Remaining Sliver of Morality in Tucker Carlson's Head Tries To Give Him Some Advice. Main Story: the massive inhumanity of solitary confinement in prisons, a practice that the Supreme Court in 1890 ruled made prisoners "violently insane," and the reliance placed upon it by the U.S. prison system now, no matter what euphamism is used for it. On Youtube (20 minutes) And Now: Nobody Reports The News Like FOX 26's Isiah Carey. Finally, Last Week Tonight presents their newest character (a year early): Mickey Mouse!

Reasons that people have been sent to solitary confinement: not making their bed, using Facebook, having too many envelopes, handling other people's stuff, having too many cigarettes in their pocket, talking back, not having their shirt tucked in and not having the right shoes in the gym.

France: "Europe's high school bully."
The U.S.'s retirement age: "No."

F.37: "Gwynnocent," GWYNETH PALTROW

I cannot believe that solitary is used on kids. That's fucking disgusting.

Oh my. John's got a huuuge spleen on him re: Disney.

This is one of the best episodes I've seen in some time. The Mickey Mouse material was fantastic. I never even noticed Steamboat Willie in the opener all year.

I have been to Eastern State Penitentiary in Philly, which was shown in the solitary confinement story. They realized solitary was bad almost 2 centuries ago, but no one seems to have learned any lessons. Kids in solitary? Are they fucking kidding? And that poor man that spent 18 years in solitary? I don't understand how he even survived. It's despicable. I'm glad North Dakota has found a better way and I wish the rest of the country would adopt it.
