As soon as I realized Mason's wife was Ashleigh Cummings, whose work in N0S4A2 I love love loved, I thought, "Yeah, no way they're wasting her as homemaker waiting in bunker for amnesiac husband to return."

And there we go.

Love that these super top secret, no one even knows their name, organizations have giant glistening headquarters way up on the side of famous craggie/tourstie mountains. I guess they have a super secret invisibility cloak on most of the time and all those missing climbers are just recruits.

Ski boots!

I assume Citadel R&D also do work for the Animanics and Wile E Coyote.

The action set pieces in this show are pretty good, the one in intro to the first episode was good enough to get me to watch two more, but every plot twist or whatever has had me giggling with its ham fistedness. It's giving ChatGPT writes a sci-fi story vibes. And is all the torture necessary? When all along they had a futuristic memory extracting device? But why not just use it. How can you escape the memory-stealing device by telling someone a secret you remember. Makes no sense.

Also if your backup spy had already infiltrated the security forces at the facility you're doing a black bag job on, why not have *her* do the stealing, since she's already got access and such?

If they were actually good at spying, Cobra Manticore wouldn't have killed them all, I guess.

Question: If all the global billionaires are funding Manticore because billionaires are evil and greedy, who was funding Citadel to be pure and good and prevent global chaos?

I mean, they clearly did a terrible job of it, but look at all their shiny toys. Those ski boots wouldn't come cheap.

Speaking of bad plot twists, I have a prediction about this that I want to record for posterity. Right now they're trying to potray Nadia as the one who betrayed Citadel to Manticore. But obviously the double agent has to be Robb Stark, the one who doesn't have his memory back. He will get his memory back, realize it's all his fault, but probably in the end turn back to the light side of the force. Anyway, with all the writers on strike I'm accepting offers to pen badly written high budget prestige sci-fi action thrillers with predictable plot twists. This will free the WGA up to focus on good shows when the strike ends.

I shouted "he's Inspector Gadget!" during the ski boots. It's all just so much.

Still in it for the Tucci scenes, though.
