Who isn't in this episode? It's good to know that we can't rely on Congress to, you know, legislate stuff, but they'll cross the aisle to appear on a show with abysmally low ratings. Truly the most useful thing Congress has participated in this session.

I'm sure it's a total coincidence that NBCUniversalComcast has been aggressively lobbying Congress lately...

Didn't April and Chris just buy a house?

Didn't April and Chris just buy a house?

Yup. But remember, when Gryzzl decided to move into the old warehouse district, April immediately exclaimed they were going to have to move. But, yes, they just bought that cool old house and it wasn't until the next episode we even see them living in the house. I hope they dedicate an plotline to them trying to find a house they can afford on their new salary, and what about Johnny Karate?!

Tons of cameos. Oddly, I'm less impressed with the cameos than the fact that they shot on location. That always surprises me when I expect some vaguely similar building interior or green screen to be employed.

Good for Leslie, continuing her climb to future Secretary of the Interior and then the White House.

The ol' accounting firm. I feel so bad for that guy. All he wants is to hang out with Ben. Ben should give him just one Saturday full of fun. Kind of like when he was hanging out with Garry.

The Swanson Bros. "You worked in the Parks and Rec department?" "THIS TOUR IS OVER."

I don't think so? Chris has been off the show for a while now.
Sorry, that was me being kind of a jerk.

April and Andy DID buy a sweet house and the saddest part of their moving to me is that they will be leaving their awesome doll-head-assembly-line-induced-madness-holding-cell house. That said, if they are moving to DC, I live in DC! Maybe they will be our neighbors! I bet they'd like where we live! They are invited to stay with us while they sort something out!

I am tickled that Don Swanson is actually Matt Offerman -- who else but an Offerman could play a Swanson?

I think the evolution of April might be one of the best things this show has done. It's so rare that a sitcom character gets to change, and the Parks writers have done a wonderful job keeping April very much herself but clearly maturing under Ron and Leslie's influences.

I am a not-very-happy-about it semi-recent DC transplant (sorry, DC mefites, it's just not for me!) and at first I was like "April will hate DC so much." But then I realized that DC will give her just the right kind of people to hate (and some charismatic crazy power-seekers to emulate). And now I wish I could hang out with her at the Union Pub (Hill staffer hangout) at 5:30 on a Wednesday and torment all the babies in suits.

Frankly I should have seen it coming that there was a Bear Swanson out there, and chuckled to myself that he's so rugged he would de facto be assumed to be gay here in SF, whereas in Pawnee he probably would just read as Dude.

at first I was like "April will hate DC so much."

As someone who also fell into that category, the absolute worst thing you could do to her would be to force her to spend time on the Hill. Is there a way she could go live in ten-years-ago Columbia Heights?

I felt like this episode revealed that Parks and Rec was really a show about the growth and development of April Ludgate. That she's really been the main character all along.

They're waiting to reveal that she's president.

My money is on Clinton. It's suspicious that they haven't made any throwaway jokes about the president yet, so I am half expecting a cameo. With Ben's congressional bid and Leslie wanting to open a national park, there's plenty of in-show reason to have at least a skype call. Biden has been on the show before, so he's in the running too.

(People have also wanted a Tina Fey cameo, but her best political impression would certainly put us in the darkest timeline)

My money is on Clinton.

If we want to bean plate things, it would most likely at least have to be a Democrat, as a Republican would have probably brought in their on person to take over the National Park System.

I don't think they'd get someone who hasn't made a formal announcement yet to do that cameo, but I could be wrong. I bet they'll just mention 'Madame President' or "Let's take this to the President, she'll..." or something.

My money is on Clinton.

I feel like that might be a pretty risky move for Clinton, given that one of the things that brought her down in the 08 primaries was voter resentment at the idea that her nomination was a foregone conclusion. This time it sorta is (famous last words), but I could see the media going crazy over her playing a future president in a way that might not be helpful to her.
