I'm guessing reviews of this one e.g. (AVClub) are going to correlate hightly with how much tolerance the reviewer has for the "Tanaka!" interactions that make up much of the middle of this episode, but even granting that the use of repetition in this episode may be close to Family Guy levels, I think there's a lot to like about it. The Cupid intervention angle in the beginning had plenty of great moments, and Josh's "I have a hot girlfriend" tour around the city brings to life something I'm sure many guys Josh's age feel in that situation -- even if the notion of dragging her around like a trophy isn't exactly laudable.

Oh, and did any one else have that moment where it hits you that Fred Armisen in the credits, but you didn't remember seeing him?
