These are not your friends, Charles! Go watch Donnie Brasco! No, not Donnie Darko!

Annoyingly, I didn't have the time to take notes on stuff for this one, so just posting the episode for others to discuss.

This episode title is a reference to the Holmes story "Adventure of Silver Blaze":

Gregory (Scotland Yard detective): Is there any other point to which you would wish to draw my attention?
Holmes: To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.
Gregory: The dog did nothing in the night-time.
Holmes: That was the curious incident.

Regarding the title, yes, it references Silver Blaze. But in this context, it's more likely a callout to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, an outsider novel about an unlikely detective.

No one sings the actual words to mambo # 5, Pilar is alright.

I love Calbert and Charles' friendship so much, I was mad at Julie for trying to redirect Charles to the investigation. I would be a terrible handler.
