How many socks is TOO many socks?

Leesa brings the case against her husband Matt. Matt has accumulated a large collection of socks. He began with solid colors, and has now expanded to fancier patterned socks. Leesa says the collection has gotten out of hand, and wants Matt to cull the herd. Matt says the socks are useful and aesthetically pleasing, and wants to continue to acquire socks at his present rate. Who's right? Who's wrong? Only one man can decide.

Dude is clearly a sock hoarder. I mean, a whole sock dresser?

I laughed out loud a few times during this episode, most notably when Matt made his comment about nobody wanting to be "that guy" at work who wears white socks with khakis.

Having now seen the "crazy" socks, he's got a long way to go before he beats the guy with SpongeBob socks. The multicoloured stripes are pretty sweet, though.

I always enjoy Monte Belmonte as guest-Baliff.

This episode was hilarious. I thought the ruling didn't go far enough to pare down (or pair down) the sock collection though. The judge should have banned the purchase of multi-pack socks.

Yes. Multi packs of almost anything but toilet paper should be outlawed.

That's it. Marie Kondo is officially That Phenomenon I Can't Escape for this season.

I was so happy that I knew the Obscure Cultural Reference on this one. Although I couldn't think of the exact title of the book, so had I been a litigant, Hodgman wouldn't have given it to me anyway. Sigh.

The guy is more than just a sock hoarder. Apparently he's taken over their whole guest bedroom as a dressing room. And he has a work-provided uniform that he wears 4 days a week! It's madness!

I like Monte Belmonte, and I liked that Monte knows his sock/pants matching rules, but I feel like this was an episode where Jesse should've been there to lend authority to the issue. I felt like Hodgman didn't get it, with regard to a man needing khaki, blue, and black socks for various pants, plus white athletic socks in various heights. He doesn't need hundreds of those socks, but it's not weird that he has a variety of socks.
