Ospreay isn't often placed against opponents as beefy as Mark Davis, so it's a thrill to watch him literally bounce off a crossbody attempt. It wasn't an overly long match, with Davis trying to end this man's whole life with slams and curbstomps -- during a commercial break, even! -- and when he tries to slam Will into an exposed turnbuckle Ospreay finally wises up and hits him with a full-speed Hidden Blade.

Kenny Omega comes out after to hype the Grand Slam match again, and it's exciting, except for the part where he got a little out of breath and messed up his own outro. Whatever, blame it on the diverticulitis.

The Hurt Business comes out to serve a warning, but get interrupted by the Gunn Club. They're faces again, I guess? And despite MVP's insults they seem to have decided to take back the "Ass Boys" nickname while they challenge for the tag titles next week. Since their Daddy Ass is now untethered from The Acclaimed, can't we get a trios thing going?

MJF comes out to continue to run his mouth, swapping in Dustin Rhodes to get Jeff Jarrett out of this feud is a good choice. The way Dustin

Meanwhile Toni Storm comes out "performing the role of Mariah May" vs. the increasingly impressive Queen Aminata, and the real Mariah on commentary is fucking livid. The Atlanta crowd -- which has been hot all night -- is super helpful here, chanting "Which one's which?" as is when Excalibur and Schiavone "accidentally" refer to the woman in the ring as "Mariah" several times. Toni naturally does a great job impersonating, pulling off all Mariah's moves and ending the match lounging playfully in the center of the ring.

You know how I can tell the Atlanta crowd is both (a) a great wrestling crowd, and (b) having fun at these matches? Because they keep chanting things I don't recognize. They're coming up with brand new chants on the fly!

The main event is a great match, despite being a heel Ricochet is still pulling off great aerial moves. There's a series of countermoves in the middle that would not have been out of place in a classic smaller indie show (or NJPW). He kicks out of the Swerve stomp and manages to thwart another attempt by getting his hands up in time to chop Swerve in the beans. Stealing Prince Nana's robe is adding another level to his pettiness, and his increasing sartorial splendor.
