Shepherd and I are making an effort to put more Canadian content on Fanfare!
He will likely tackle Quebecois films as he's actually bilingual; I'm so-so. I will be posting more English Canada stuff, mostly female-led shows.
If you're a fellow Canuck, we encourage to do the same! And if you're not a fellow Canuck, we encourage to watch more Canadian media!

Every July, for the past 5 years, I watch only Canadian films. If you need suggestions I am happy to give them. Just watched a couple a few days ago: Nominee for many awards, including an Oscar, Sugarcane (already on Fanfare) and Disco's Revenge (made in Canada but does not include any or very little CanCon tho our tax dollars went to its creation). As Matthew Rankin's hotly anticipated film Universal Language makes its rounds of rep cinemas across our country, I encourage people to seek out his earlier feature the Twentieth Century (there's a physical release as well as a few streaming options for Canadians).
