Somehow I've managed never to see this over the last 29 years. Watched it with my 11yo son on a whim and he thought it was hilarious. I quite enjoyed it too. The plot beats are incredibly predictable and the characters barely realized stereotypes. But it's light, it moves at a breezy but not frenetic pace, and there's a timeless charm that crosses decades and generations in watching a pompous person fall into a giant cake.

This is a great movie to watch if you want to see an orangutan do all sorts of crimes. Sorta improbably star-studded cast, too.
