"We're not bad people, but we did a bad thing." 🌴🌊🌴 Danny Rayburn (Ben Mendelsohn) is the drifting eldest son of a family that runs a hotel on a sprawling property in the beautiful Florida Keys. He's come home for a big get-together and a pier-naming event honoring the Rayburns. Danny springs an idea on his brother, John (Kyle Chandler), the local sheriff.

I haven't watched this yet, but I am looking forward to doing so. I have really, REALLY missed watching Kyle Chandler's hair emote since Friday Night Lights went off the air.

I binged out on this show and think it was pretty amazing. Looking forward to discussing the whole thing in the thread for the final episode, but I don't know if I remember the episode boundaries well enough to drop into the episode threads.

We've started watching this series now. The first episode was a bit slow, I thought, but the family relationships are complicated, entwined, and fascinating. Seems like it will be good stuff.

I was also sort of weirdly relieved that the murder mystery revolves around a dead guy, not a dead woman. Though I guess there's a dead woman, too. Still.

Has a serious Middle Keys vibe for this one. I think I heard them mention the hotel is in Islamorada.
I spent a lot of time at a dockside bar that looked a lot like that one.
