Here's hoping I'm not the only one on Metafilter watching this show. So far it has been some excellent pulpy B-movie trash, and the last episode or 2 really reminded everyone that this was supposed to be a horror show.

I don't suppose El Rey programming is available (legally) streaming anywhere?

Can someone tell me just how violent it gets? I want very much to watch this, but I can't bear Hannibal.

viggorlijah - It's violent, and a few scenes have been pretty gruesome. Mostly it's gun violence and stakes-through-vampires type stuff, but there are a few really gross things in it. After the first 6 episodes it turns into fairly cartoony B-movie type violence.

brundelfly - this show is on Netflix, a new episode every week.

I see you're in Canada. It appears that it's only available on Netflix outside of the US and Latin America.

Well that certainly explains the slow trickle of comments...

I have a feeling that El Rey will end up running it ad infinitum. I look forward to catching up on one of the many, many marathons over the next year or so.

Thanks for reminding me that I need to look for it, Hoopo.

Yeah, I get El Rey so I had a marathon running in the background while I was cleaning house the other day but I'm not up-to-date on the latest episode.

From what I've seen so far, it will be worth sitting down and paying closer attention.

It's a travesty this series isn't freely available in the US. I've heard it is a great watch and overall is better than the movie.

It's on Netflix now and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
