I am such a fan of this show and am finally caught up. Arty southern gothic soap opera? Yes please.

In this episode I really dug Trey forcing his kids to sit and stoically watch Squdbillies (a show I hate, even though I tend to like a lot of Adult Swim's fare) as Daggett & Co search his house.

I also think Aden Young has come a LOOONG way with Daniel as the show has progressed. For a while there, I was always half expecting him to mutter "Mmm french fried potaters" as his character recalled Billy Bob Thornton's in Sling Blade to an uncomfortable degree. He seems to've finally settled into the role and he's just great at it.

Adelaide Clemens still sounds Australian to me, but I can deal.

Sean Bridgers did a great job of conveying how unsettled Trey really was underneath it all.

This show is the most humanistic television show I think I've ever seen. I like how not caring is never an option for any of the characters, but, leavened by the overall darkness of the theme, remarkably schmaltz-free.
