Killjoys: Enemy Khylen
August 14, 2015 4:16 PM - Season 1, Episode 9 - Subscribe
The Killjoys finally turn the tables on Khlyen, only to discover the shocking truth behind his presence in the Quad, which leaves Dutch to wonder if she was ever truly free.
I haven't heard anything yet.
I have been away, so I just binge-watched the last four episodes at once. It completely exceeded my expectations. The actor who plays D'avin has range, which I did not anticipate. Dutch's backstory is a great driving force, and I could watch Johnny all day. (Who is the only one who hasn't had to take his shirt off in the past few episodes, I think.) I feel like they're building the characterization, the world and the meta-plot at speed and I can't wait to see where it goes next. It took a little while to find its legs, but I'm very much enjoying it now.

I only did a cursory search, but it looks like they have not announced a second season (but they also haven't officially cancelled it).
I think they're pulling the story together nicely. I find the characters interesting, even the minor ones, and I appreciate that the characters don't always have to get along or return to the status quo. This show feels a lot fresher to me than Dark Matter.
I'm really looking forward to the season finale, and I hope they get picked up for a second season (I think a 10 to 13 episode season would let them keep the focus on a season arc without having to pad it with monster-of-the-week filler).

Yeah, this was pretty good, too. Definite upswing on the quality in the last four episodes. I really don't have a clue about what's going on, either, which is good.

I'm glad they're putting so much effort into Johnny and Dutch's friendship. Really believe they'd go to the mat for each other no matter what.
