I loved this episode, especially the breaking and entering bit, although I wanted tips for how to climb fences. Also, I hope the next episode is actually about transistors.

I also loved this episode. Although it shows that there can be nothing more expensive than cheap activities, from the $50 bribe to the harbormaster, to the torn pants, to the tetanus shot.

This was great, I just wish there were some pictures or videos to go along with it. Favorite part: the goat.

The Cyclone image looked exactly like it sounded.

So great. The Ferris Bueller's Day Off of the podcast generation.

Thanks to my job I currently listen to something like 20-40 hours of podcasts per week and have been for the last year or so, plus lower but very steady levels of listening for the last 7-8 years or so (probably 10-25 hours per week every week).

I think this is my favourite podcast episode of all time.

Just for my own accounting, Alex, how many murders do you have on vinyl?

I loved this too, although the moment of "is that solid ground or a big deep pit in front of us?" had me totally, totally panic-stricken. Whew.

I loved this and am so glad PJ didn't die in a sinkhole full of bees (which was what I imagined could happen in the murder tetanus goat house).

I'm really hoping that the next season of Mystery Show has something on the goat.

This was such an awesome episode! Laughing out loud on the Paris metro and got some strange looks...

So I'm guessing Alex's comment up there was really aimed at the one about the goat. But I'm imaging it was really aimed at the query about the vinyl records from Tevin.

it was definitely meant to be about the vinyl question, Shelleycat.

Nothing particularly clever to add except that everything was wonderful and made me want to go indulge in youthful hijinky shenanigans.

Lets just blame all the cheap German beer I'm drinking for totally missing that.

Disappointed - I was exited to hear about transistors. but the breaking and entering part was fun

This is the second time I missed getting a Freddie - First Swampy, now Glow. My collection will be incomplete! Anyone have a source for second-hand promotional gorillas?

There was a missed opportunity for Yes/Yes/No Karaoke, where only 2/3 of the people know the song.

no offense to the podcast as it usually is, which I like, but this somehow was moving in a way that makes me want a show like this all the time. But then I guess if you were always on vacation it wouldn't be a vacation.

I liked this too! As a one-off, for summer. I've complained in the past that Reply All is two separate shows. One show is interesting researched reporting on Internet culture. The other is fun-time with PJ and Alex, your nerdy pals who are funnier than most people. I think a lot of people like social / fun podcasts but generally I don't have time for them. This one though was sweet and well edited, I liked it.

I am behind a bit, and caught this episode on a plane home from LA this weekend. It was amazing. I’ve shared it more than any recent podcast episode. I feel slightly bad, because it’s not at all representative of the show, but then I love the show normally, so I recommend it anyway.

I was skeptical about this until somebody jumped in the ocean. Then I was ON BOARD.

I spent the first few minutes of this in WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE annoyance but then accepted that I was along for the ramble; and a few minutes later found myself utterly immersed.

Favorites: "OH MY GOD THERE'S A GOAT". And "dude, you just totally bribed a harbormaster" -- and that it was so obviously a bit of graft, and that he seemed more than a little surprised by its "so how about I give you fifty bucks then" success. (He totally would have settled for $20, guys.)

This ep was just re-run today during the podcast's August vacation. I'd never heard it before. It's great fun to listen to, and while I was listening on my morning bus ride, in the middle of it my Headspace meditation app sent me a reminder: "Look up and smile." Which made the whole thing more awesome.
