Just a quick reminder, per this discussion about giving people a heads-up about planning, that the Breaking Bad rewatch will commence this Sunday (Aug. 3), with episodes posted twice a week (Sundays and Thursdays). Get yer Heisenberg on, bitches!

Oh, forgot to mention: it seemed in the original discussion that there was interest about a Breaking Bad first watch as well, so I'll actually post two threads (spoileriffic and spoiler-free) for each episode.

Soo.... I've been totally ignoring the three or four other TV shows I've been following on FanFare while mainlining Breaking Bad and am now 5 episodes from the end of the show. Expect to be done within the next several days! I'm sure the Fringe and Wire folks have been missing my serial/serious commenting style (and the actual posts for The Wire, sorry! we'll Talk about that & ssn2 soon, promise), but it's been worth it.

Well, which is all to say that there's no need to do a first watch on my behalf anymore. =D

(I've been thinking of all the Shakesperian things to say about BrBa, keeping you in mind scody.)

You've got five episodes to go? Hang on, man. HANG ON.

FWIW, the AMC "binge-a-thon" reruns start August 10th. (And will burn through episodes a lot faster than we will; but still, useful for filling up your DVR for the FanFare rewatch.)

Question: should there be spoiler-free and spoiler-filled summaries for the first watch and re-watch posts? Some sites, like Den of Geeks, actually post two different episode reviews for more popular shows, with and without spoilers, and specifically label them up-front as such.

Do you mean summaries after the [more inside:]? For the front-page summaries, I'm just grabbing the one- or two-sentence general summaries off the episode guide for the show from AMC's website.

I was referring to the off-site summaries linked on the sidebar. Though the first two reviews/recaps are pretty general, Sepinwall's second article specifically calls out that it contains spoilers.

Then again, when do people read recaps? If they've already seen the episode then read more about it, there is nothing to spoil.

Right, I was figuring people would read the recaps after they'd watched the episode, whether for the first time or as a rewatch. (I know when I first watched Breaking Bad last year, I absolutely craved recaps after each episode, just as long as they didn't contain any spoilers about future episodes.)
